Responsibilities:

  • Defining project objectives, constraints, and risks
  • Establishing a budget, a schedule, and sticking to them
  • Communicating with all project stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing effective data collection strategies
  • Setting up a project monitoring and maintenance strategy
  • Developing metrics to demonstrate the value of the project
  • Anticipating technological, technical, ethical, and financial risks of the project
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data used
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate project updates, and address concerns.
  • Foster positive relationships to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks related to data integrity, system performance, and project timelines.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as relational databases, SQL query tools, spreadsheets, data visualization tools, etc. The Data Project Manager must have experience in collecting, managing, and leveraging large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, and Java
  • Knowledge of advanced data analytics including statistics, machine learning, predictive analytics, and data modelling

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in project management, specifically overseeing data projects within the Azure/AWS Cloud environment.

- Certification in Azure is highly desirable.

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
